A KEIGHLEY charity shop is urging people who are planning a spring clean to donate unwanted items to the outlet.
Age UK says that by 'recycling' goods, the public is helping reduce the amount of waste going to landfill.
The charity welcomes items including clothing, accessories, toys, books and homeware.
Proceeds from sales help support Age UK services, including its telephone friendship initiative and helplines.
Denise Roberts – manager of the Keighley shop, in Cavendish Street – says: "We want to inspire local people to join the sustainable movement and are encouraging them to come and visit us this spring.
"We are always on the lookout for donated items and have a wide range of new spring stock.
"Not only will you be helping to reduce waste and landfill, but you’ll also be raising vital funds for Age UK so that it can continue supporting older people.
"And when donating items, people can make their donations worth an extra 25 per cent for the charity by signing up to gift aid. Simply completing a basic form when dropping off donations means Age UK will receive an extra 25p from the Government for every £1 that is raised from the goods."
