Former Keighley woman ties the knot

Keen cyclist Dora Connolly is on a new route – to wedded bliss!

The Keighley woman, who as a teenager took part in Yorkshire Cyclo-Cross Association activities, tied the knot in a ceremony at Guarlford, Malvern, Worcestershire.

Dora – daughter of Patrick and Cherry Connolly, of Keighley – now works as an administration manager at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.

She is a former pupil of Our Lady of Victories, Holycroft and Bronte schools in Keighley and Skipton Girls’ High School.

Dora was married to Dr Nevil Deane, a technical support specialist for GE Healthcare. He is the fourth child of Ralph and Alison Deane, who live near Cambridge.

The ceremony was followed by a reception at Wilderhope Manor, Shropshire.

The newlyweds’ health was proposed by Dora’s four brothers – Danny, Rory, Nathy and Ralph. Best man was Nevil’s twin brother, David.

Dora and Nevil live in Oxford.
