ASHFORD Ann Mary, Eric, Neil and their families wish to thank Mum’s friends, acquaintances, neighbours Chris and Andy who always looked after her, work colleagues, Wendy’s family - Julie, Heather and Pete, Gerry, Jason and Bill, her carers from Raistrick Grange, her Postman David and all those who attended her beautiful funeral. We are very grateful to Lyndon Leeson – Funeral Director and his wife Suzanne, for their compassionate support and professionalism, attention to detail and help with our specific requests. Thanks also to Rev. Dr. Allen Holmes for his willingness to provide Mum with the Christian committal she would have wanted, in recognition of her deep and enduring faith. To Wilf & Bob at Oakworth Cricket Club – thank you. Mum spent many happy hours there and out for 94 is a good innings! How bounteous are the hedgerows where she walked where we picked the flowers that went with her on her new journey. Mum could have had no greater tribute to her singularly extraordinary life. Approaching our own dotage we are still waiting to ‘grow into’ the garments she knitted for us! Re-united with her beloved Trev, young once more; hand in hand on the Pier Head, by the banks of the Mersey; where beautiful dreamers will awake and where the wind will always blow southerly.
