Notice of Confirmation of a Public Path Diversion and Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order Highways Act 1980 Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 North Yorkshire County Council Footpath no's 05.23/14 & 05.23/16 Calm Slate Farm, Halton East Diversion Order 2017

On 12 December 2017, North Yorkshire County Council confirmed the above Order made under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 and Section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981.

The effect of the Order as confirmed is to divert the public footpaths described and modify The Definitive Map and Statement for the District of Craven (Outside the Yorkshire Dales National Park) statement accordingly. FP 05.23/14 from GR SE 0393 5415 to GR SE 0348 5424 will be diverted onto a new route via GR SE 0392 5416 and SE 0395 5417 to a field gate at GR SE 0394 5418, then generally north west to a field gate at GR SE 0384 5426, then west to a kissing gate at GR SE 0376 5427 then generally west to GR SE 0348 5424. A copy of the confirmed Order and Order map may be seen free of charge during normal office hours at Skipton Library, North Yorkshire until 01 February 2018. Copies of the Order and map may be purchased from Waste & Countryside Services, North Yorkshire County Council, County Hall, Northallerton, North Yorkshire, DL7 8AD (tel: 01609 532512) at a cost of £2.00, or can be downloaded free from our website www.northyorks.gov.uk/pathnotices.

The Order comes into force on the date of 12 December 2017, but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980 as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under Paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by Paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within six weeks from 21 December 2017, make an application to the High Court.

The above Order, made on 07 December 2017, under Section 119 ofthe Highways Act 1980 will divertFootpath No 05.32/9 between GR SD 8981 4900 and GR SD 8985 4896 onto a new route starting at GR SD 8982 4902 and running south east to GR SD 8984 4900 then south east to GR 8985 4896. A copy of the Order and the Order map may be seen free of charge during normal office hours at Skipton Library, North Yorkshire until 18 January 2018. Copies may be purchased from Waste & Countryside Services, North Yorkshire County Council,

01609 532512) at a cost of £2, or can be downloaded free from our website www.northyorks.gov.uk/pathnotices. Any representations about or objections to the Order may be sent in writing to Ron Allan, Definitive Map Officer, at the above address not later than 18 January2018. Please state the grounds on which they are made. Please note that objections/representations cannot be treated as confidential and may come into the public domain. Copies of any objections or representations received may be disclosed to interested parties, including the Planning Inspectorate where the case is referred to it for determination. If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, North Yorkshire County Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation, any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.
