STAFF from a Keighley veterinary practice tackled a gruelling challenge to boost charity and mark a milestone.
The Aireworth Vets team took part in the Yorkshire Dales Challenge Walk, a 23-mile trek over tough terrain.
Most of the practice’s vets, nurses and receptionists were involved in the venture, held to mark 20 years since the business moved from its former base in Devonshire Street to its current, purpose-built premises in Aireworth Road.
Colleagues smashed through their £1,500 target, raising £2,040 to be split between three charities – Keighley Cat Care, the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and the Freedom of Spirit Trust for Border Collies.
"We were very pleased with the amount raised," said vet Peter O’Hagan, who organised the event.
"Representatives from the charities have been to the practice to receive their cheques."
