A HAWORTH restaurant has become the top place to eat out in West Yorkshire on leading travel website Trip Advisor.
The Old Registry, on Main Street, which is also a guest house, came top out of 3,765 restaurants places in the county.
The pair both worked for several years at Weavers restaurant in Haworth, before marrying and taking on their present premises.
Mr Quinn said he and Leanne had been running the Old Registry for more than three years and had recently taken on a lease for the building.
He said: “We opened our restaurant a little over two years ago and it has gone from strength to strength.”
Mr Quinn said the couple were “exceedingly proud” of winning the top Trip Advisor accolade, as a result of positive reviews from diners.
He added: “All the team have put so much hard work and effort in to making our restaurant such a success.
“This is especially true of our chef Simon who is also my father-in-law, having had over 30 years experience in the trade. We really would be lost without him.”
The Quinns last year introduced the Old Registry Sausage, especially made with an added mix of herbs by Ellison’s Butchers in Cullingworth.
