A GROWING Riddlesden company is celebrating after five staff notched up coveted qualifications.

Tribute has been paid to the quintet by Calmag Ltd managing director, Charles Wysocki.

"We take great pride in offering all our staff members the opportunity to continually develop as professionals to further enhance their careers with us," he said.

"They have all worked extremely hard to gain the awards, which ultimately has seen a benefit to the company as our business has increased, and investing in the right people will reap dividends in the long term."

Sophie Bailey has completed a Level 2 award in business and administration, while Rosie Clarke has finished a sales apprenticeship with the company and gained a Level 3 certificate in the principles of sales.

Alec McGrath and Kayleigh McClarnon have both earned Level 2 in selling to customers and sales & marketing.

And commercial sales manager Jonathan Swanbury completed the successes with Level 5 awards in sales forecasts & target setting, coaching & mentoring and leading a team.

Mr Wysocki added: "We encourage all staff to develop in this ever-increasing competitive workplace and employees need to take on responsibility to improve – this is what employers are looking for and we always try and assist, but finding the right courses over the years has been a challenge.

"We are extremely pleased to have found Graham Webb at Yorkshire Sales & Marketing Developments, who has been an excellent training provider for our sales staff."

Calmag, formed in 2001, manufactures a range of water treatment products for sale to plumbers' merchants and wholesalers.

Last year, the company moved from its former Sandbeds base to bigger premises at Riverview Buildings.
