A BREWERY has rolled out a £380 donation for Manorlands.

Naylors at Cross Hills raised the cash through its annual cider day.

The brewery created 3,200 bottles of cider using apples brought in by people from across the region, and 10p from each bottle sold went to the Oxenhope Sue Ryder hospice.

Funds were topped up through sales of pork pies and cakes.

Brewery director, Stephen Naylor, said the firm was delighted to support Manorlands.

"Due to the success of our cider day we wanted to pass something on to a local charity," he said.

"Over the past few years we have had several friends cared for at Manorlands and have always been astounded by the levels of care shown by everyone there.

"We felt that a small contribution per bottle of cider made would add up to a worthwhile donation to help Manorlands to keep offering its excellent service and support."

The cheque was received by Manorlands ambassador Jackie McGill, a member of the hospice's Cross Hills support group, who thanked the brewery for its backing.
