GROWING Keighley-based motor group Colin Appleyard has taken on more apprentices.

Daniel Marks, 17, has been recruited as an apprentice motorcycle mechanic at the company's Keighley bike shop.

And Joe Gartland has joined the after-sales service team at the expanding Appleyard Suzuki car showroom in Shipley.

Both have now started on their respective three-year Suzuki apprenticeship training courses.

Colin Appleyard has enjoyed a record year for car sales and improved trading conditions on the motorcycle side of the business.

The latest appointments follow hot on the heels of the group also recruiting two apprentices, Claire Allen and Grace Conn, in the accounts department.

Managing director, Robin Appleyard, said: "Our various apprenticeship schemes are an integral part of our after-sales customer care programme and at the same time help to provide an important step on what, we hope, will be a successful career path.

"We are always on the lookout for bright youngsters who we can mould into the unique Colin Appleyard way of looking after customers."
