KEIGHLEY-district groups working with young people could receive cash aid.

Green-energy and recycling specialist Leo Group Ltd, whose sites include Omega Proteins at Denholme, is offering grants of up to £2,500 from its community fund.

Any voluntary organisation working with children and young people in the Bradford or Calderdale districts can apply.

Melanie Rosser, for the Leo Group, said: "As a major employer in the area, we are committed to supporting the local community.

"Our community fund gives us a platform to provide local good causes with the funding they need.

"We received three times as many applications this last year compared to the previous round of grants. The response shows there is no shortage of excellent work being carried out by charities and grassroots organisations across the area and there is high demand for financial support."

E-mail melanie.rosser@leogroupltd.co.uk for further information and an application form.

The deadline is February 27.
