WORKERS at a green-energy and recycling company have shown their support for needy families.
Leo Group staff have donated over 100 items – including pasta, rice and tinned meals – to the Bradford Metropolitan Food Bank.
A spokesman for the company, whose sites include Omega Proteins at Denholme, said: "As the cost of food rises, more people living in poverty in the UK are relying on emergency supplies from food banks to help them survive.
"We wanted to do our bit to support those in need in our local communities and help give people access to food supplies over the festive period."
The group also supports organisations through its Community Fund and in the past two years has handed out over £250,000.
The current round of grants closes on February 27. E-mail Melanie.rosser@leogroupltd.co.uk for further information and an application form.
