KEIGHLEY-district businesses which deal with visitors to the area are being invited to a tourism forum.

Visit Bradford is staging the free event, the first of its kind in the district, to help traders and attractions improve their marketing.

Tricia Tillotson, tourism manager at Visit Bradford, said: "We wanted to share our knowledge with local businesses to help them take advantage of the marketing opportunities we offer, as well as provide hints and tips about how they can better market their business to people visiting the region.

"Also, we want to know what people feel is working well and what could be improved."

The event, at Bradford College on Wednesday (Jan 28), will include talks and presentations.

Councillor Susan Hinchcliffe, Bradford Council's executive member for employment, skills and culture, said: "This is an opportunity not to be missed.

"If you're a local business dealing with visitors on a regular basis – such as restaurants, shops or other tourist attractions – you will benefit from this event."
