AN ESTABLISHED Haworth Main Street bookshop has moved to a new location just a few doors along.
T Venables books – previously Venables and Bainbridge – is now at 60 Main Street, in premises previously occupied by Cobbles and Clay art cafe.
As reported in the Keighley News last year, Cobbles and Clay has moved to a unit further up the street.
Bookshop owner, Tony Venables, said the unit occupied by his business – 111 Main Street – is being taken over by Hawksbys craft and gift shop. Mr Venables, who lives in Oakworth, said his shop has been trading for 20 years.
“The move took a couple of weeks – there were 10,000 books to move,” he said. “On one day I had 14 people helping me with the move, who were providing their services for free. It was quite touching. The new place is looking good.”
