A KEIGHLEY opticians celebrated Comic Relief in style by laying on a variety of fundraising activities for customers to get involved with.

The staff at the Airedale Shopping Centre branch of Specsavers raised more than £140 for the charity with fun-filled activities, including a bake sale.

Taking inspiration from fashion guru Gok Wan, who recently won the Comic Relief special episode of the Great British Bake Off, the team at the Specsavers store donned their aprons to bake a bundle of tasty treats.

Customers donated money for the good cause in return for sampling the results of their baking efforts.

Nigel Wilson, one of the store directors at Specsavers in Keighley, said: "Comic Relief is a really worthy cause, and we wanted to do all that we could throughout the day to raise as much money as possible for the charity.

"We thoroughly enjoyed making our faces funny for money to support the great work that Comic Relief does.

"We want to thank all, young and old, who came to join in the fun and buy their Red Nose Day glasses."
