NETWORKING group BNI Airedale Aspire has generated more than £2 million in business in just over four years.

Revealing the figure this week, the organisation said members together had generated 3,819 referrals during that period.

The businesspeople – who meet at Central Hall, Keighley, every Thursday morning – range from a barrister and an architect to a joiner and electrician, working across Yorkshire.

The group is sponsoring the Small Business of the Year category at this year's Keighley Business Awards.

Chairman Mick Jordan, director of Keighley-based telecommunications company Brontel Ltd, said: "We are more than just a business networking group and that's why what we do really works and generates so much trade for our members.

"More than ever it's important to develop personal relationships in business and we help each other do that every week, not just at our weekly meetings but as we go about our daily business.

"We're committed to supporting each other's businesses and, in return, we know that other members will support us.

"We're proud to be part of the Keighley business community and believe that what we've achieved so far demonstrates how much potential there is to do business in the town.

"We're keen to keep growing and are always looking for new members who want to be part of our friendly and formidable group."
