A COFFEE specialist which started in Keighley has become the first business of its kind to roast its own coffee in the Bradford area.
Casa Espresso supplies luxury coffee nationwide and premium Sanremo coffee machines to leading restaurants and cafes across the north of England.
The company was set up by local restaurateur Tony Di Rienzo and his son Nino in 2000, and for the first nine years ran from Tony’s Keighley home.
Now based in Shipley and owned by Nino, Casa Espresso has invested in new roasting facilities to grow the business.
Nino, who lives in Harden, recently identified a gap in the market and has made a substantial investment in a five-kilogram roaster.
This will enable him to offer high-quality coffees in small batches to businesses, including several restaurants in Keighley and the Aire Valley.
Nino said his team hand-roasted coffee to order twice a week, having full control of the roast and refining fantastic flavours to the customers’ taste or requirement.
He said: “More and more micro roasteries are popping up – a bit like micro-breweries – but there isn’t one in Bradford so we felt it was a great opportunity to offer an even more bespoke service to our customers.”
