A WINDOW display was brought to life in Keighley's Airedale Shopping Centre as one of the premises' newer occupants celebrated its first birthday.

The Trespass outdoor and sports shop marked the occasion with music, balloons and discounts alongside a living tableau created by staff.

Two employees staged their own festival scene and passers-by were intrigued by the moving mannequins with their tents, wellies, barbecue and guitar.

One shopper who did a double take at the summer scene was 21-year-old Samantha Pemberton.

“It looks really ace and it’s a really good idea," she said. "It's by far the most interesting window display and it really draws you into the shop.”

The idea was the brainchild of Trespass store manager Ella Carr. She said: “I’m really into the visual merchandising side of things, and thought it would be good to do something a bit different that would make people stop and notice.

“We’re quite a young team so setting up a family camping scene wouldn’t have worked as well and the summer festivals are the thing at the moment so it’s perfect."

Airedale Centre manager Steve Seymour said: “This was a great idea by Ella, and has been a great talking point."
