A CULLINGWORTH woman has been shortlisted for a coveted accolade.
Sandra Corcoran, a director of Pennine Cycles, is among the finalists in the regional Forward Ladies Women in Business Awards.
The annual scheme, sponsored by HSBC, honours entrepreneurial female business leaders.
There are 62 finalists across 11 categories, with Mrs Corcoran shortlisted for the Retail Business of the Year award.
Judges include Karen Boswell, managing director of Hitachi Rail Europe.
Forward Ladies managing director Griselda Togobo said: "The calibre of entries has been increasing year on year but this year we have a number of outstanding finalists.
"The awards have attracted women of all ages and from all professions and walks of life."
Winners will be revealed at a presentation luncheon hosted by ITV News presenter Charlene White, in Newcastle, on September 29.
