TWO staff members at a Keighley dog grooming centre have shone in their first competition.
Katie Bottomley and Naomi Edwards, both from Keighley, gained gold and silver awards respectively in the Premier Groom contest.
The event, at the Kennel Club in Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire, attracted an entry of 156 dogs.
Katie entered the purebreed scissor beginner class with bichon River, while Naomi competed in the crossbreed workshop beginner category with a poochon, Keogh.
Both work at Look North Grooming & Training Centre.
"The girls only finished their training in January and went on to become staff members in March/April," said Look North proprietor Joanne Angus.
"I am very proud of them. They have moved on in leaps and bounds since completing their training and becoming full-time staff.
"They were both very nervous entering their first competition but the results speak for themselves."
