KEIGHLEY Business Awards' success was celebrated at an event in the town.

More than 60 people gathered at Airedale Enterprise Services' (AES) new premises, in Sunderland Street.

Wendy Spencer, from AES, welcomed guests and outlined the support it offered to new and established businesses.

Speakers included MP Kris Hopkins and representatives of three companies which have each won the Business of the Year accolade since the Keighley Business Awards were launched in 2013.

Tom Appelbee, of inaugural winner Fenetic Wellbeing, explained how the awards process had transformed the firm's profile.

His comment was echoed by Airedale Springs chairman Tim Parkinson, who highlighted the support received through the initiative.

And Joel Newis, of Bingley-based Feature Radiators, described how the success had helped the firm become a market leader in its sector.

Other speakers included Philip Smith of Keighley Town Centre Association, the headline sponsor of this year's awards; Councillor Susan Hinchcliffe and Steve Burles, joint chairman of the team organising next year's event.

Associate event sponsors Advanced Actuators, Hayfield Robinson and Rotherwood Recruitment and other backers were thanked for their support.
