A STEETON nursing home has struck gold.
Currergate has been awarded the prestigious Gold Standard Framework accreditation for its quality of care.
Staff underwent an intensive nine-month training programme before the 38-resident home, owned by the Czajka Care Group, was subjected to a rigorous assessment.
Konrad Czajka, group managing director, said: "We're delighted to be awarded this coveted accreditation, as a result of what is widely recognised as the most rigorous inspection programme in the care industry.
"To have our high standards recognised and rewarded by this independent organisation is a huge coup and reinforces how our residents and their families are at the centre of everything we do."
The group's Cross Hills home, Beanlands, also has the gold award.
