KEIGHLEY people dining out probably wouldn't automatically consider a South Asian restaurant when hunting for a decent steak.

But one of Keighley's longest established restaurants is out to confound expectations!

Moghuls Restaurant, in North Street, has introduced hot rock cooking, enabling diners to make their own steaks and other dishes on oven-heated rocks.

The family-owned business has already successfully trialled the technique at two other restaurants.

And to promote its own launch of hot rock cooking, it has rebranded itself as 'Moghuls on the Rocks'.

Ishtiaq Ahmed, of Moghuls, said: "The rock stays hot for about 45 minutes.

"It's much hotter than you can heat a frying pan, which means a well-done steak can be finished in only five minutes, once it's sliced up. It's that quick.

"The customer reactions we've had so far have been extremely positive. I'm confident this will take off."

As well as steak cooked on hot rock, the restaurant is also offering chicken and salmon fillet.
