FUNDING is watertight for a new team set up by Oakworth Juniors.
The new team, entitled Oakworth Hornets, has secured sponsorship, including football kits, from Keighley-based Chris Mullaney Plumbing and Heating.
The flourishing Oakworth Juniors club expanded this season by running two under-12s teams in the Craven League instead of one.
Chris has friends who are parents of some of the players and jumped at the chance to sponsor the team.
The coach, Steve Wedge, said: “We would like to say a big thank you to Chris. His help has enabled us to keep grass roots sports alive in the community.”
In summer this year Oakworth Juniors were forced to seek new coaches to cater for an influx of under-nine and under-12 players
Capitals recruited under -14 players for the current football season.
The club fields players in the Craven, Aire and Wharfe Junior League and is based at Bronte Fields on Goose Cote Lane, Oakworth.
