BARRATT – which has the Vision development at Braithwaite – has made a new appointment.

Gavin McCarthy has been promoted to trainee sales manager with Barratt Developments PLC's Yorkshire West division.

The former car salesman was latterly a sales advisor with the company, which includes Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes.

"I'm delighted to be joining a fantastic sales management team which has been recognised for outstanding results in the group and the wider industry," he said.

Sales director Sam Wood said: "We are committed to developing our employees to achieve their full potential.
