A GROWING Keighley firm is investing tens of thousands of pounds in improving its services.

And new products are set to be launched early next year.

The developments come after a hugely successful year for Henry Charles, which manufactures a range of luxury bedroom furniture.

It has seen turnover soar, opened a branch in Horsforth and increased its workforce to eight-strong.

Jobs have been created in the fitting department to meet rising demand, the firm's Aireworth Road showroom has been extensively refurbished and a new website is set to be launched soon.

"It's important that the quality of every aspect of the business matches the quality of the service we look to provide," said managing director Joseph Waite.

"To this end it's important for us that our customers have a top-of-the-range experience from the very beginning.

"From the initial enquiry on our website to visiting our showrooms, everything is being revitalised to match our brand and the products we sell.

"We already invest heavily in the training of our staff up to a degree level when it comes to design and we want this reflected throughout the business."

The company has also been in international negotiations with suppliers as it sources materials in advance of the new product launches.

Mr Waite added: "We want to be the hub of interior design innovation in Yorkshire and we're not comfortable resting on our laurels

"We're launching products that haven't been seen before in this county, using materials no one else is using.

"We have visited suppliers across the globe to ensure we have the best of the best right here in Keighley.

"It's difficult to estimate the financial extent of our work, but it's in the tens of thousands of pounds purely on research and improvements for our customers and we hope they continue to enjoy what we do for them."

Henry Charles – established in 2009 – has seen rapid growth over the years, which Mr Waites attributes to word of mouth.

"We try to always provide a full service – from the initial enquiry to the end product – and we're happy to see the results of that in the number of referrals we get coming through the door," he said.

"Recommendations from existing customers have always been the largest provider of new leads for the business and it is the driving force behind our growth."

In addition to further investing in the manufacturing arm of the business, it intends entering the wholesale market with its Yorkshire-made wardrobe doors and handles.
