A CARE group has been awarded a five-star food hygiene rating.
Czajka received the accolade for all its nursing and care homes, including Currergate at Steeton and Beanlands, Cross Hills.
And the group is now seeking to recruit two new chefs to further develop its food standards.
Managing director Konrad Czajka said: "Our catering services are something we continually invest heavily in, because mealtimes are such an important experience and they are a time of the day that the majority of our residents look forward to – both for the food and the social aspect of eating with friends.
"To have our efforts recognised with top marks for hygiene across all six of our kitchens is a huge success and we're delighted that our outstanding food standards have been acknowledged in this way."
Under the food hygiene rating scheme, all businesses and organisations producing or selling food are inspected and graded from zero to five.
