A BUILDER behind a controversial planned housing scheme in Keighley has seen increasing numbers of people viewing its developments.
Persimmon Homes West Yorkshire managing director Wayne Gradwell told the AGM the figure had risen by 12 per cent.
"Demand remains high for our homes and we have a very healthy order book as we go into the second quarter of 2016," he said.
"Total forward sales revenue, including legal completions, taken so far in 2016 are eight per cent higher than last year at £2.15 billion for the company as a whole.
"In total we have 7,598 new homes sold, with a national average price of £220,000.
"Our success means we are able to create jobs both directly at our head office and indirectly through our growing supply chain across the region."
Persimmon gained Government approval to build 124 houses in Occupation Lane, Keighley, despite objections from residents and Bradford Council.
An inspector disputed objectors' claims that traffic from the new houses would cause dangers in nearby streets.
