MORE Keighley-district food outlets are being urged to work towards an award which recognises healthier cooking.
The Good Food Bradford Project – a joint initiative involving West Yorkshire Trading Standards, Bradford Council and businesses – aims to combat obesity.
Free training and support is provided to outlets and bronze, silver and gold awards are presented.
Trading Standards chief, David Lodge, said: "The project encourages local businesses to provide healthier options to reduce the health inequalities that exist within the district."
And Councillor Val Slater, chairman of West Yorkshire Trading Standards committee, added: "This is a great opportunity for food businesses to take advantage of free support and training to provide healthier options for their customers."
