A BUSINESS run by a Cullingworth couple is celebrating a milestone.
Paul and Sandra Corcoran are planning several events to mark the 70th anniversary of award-winning Pennine Cycles.
Among the initiatives are a commemorative book charting the shop's history and a summer party.
"This is an exciting year for us," said managing director Paul.
"We are proud to continue to manufacture Pennine bikes on our premises.
"Our customers are always our key focus and they benefit from our passion, experience and expertise when it comes to cycling.
"We are proud to be part of the community and continue to sponsor local cycling club VC Bradford.
"We've lots of special things coming later in the year to mark our anniversary."
The business began as Whitaker and Mapplebeck when two cycling friends returned from the trenches of the Second World War.
The shop opened its doors in July, 1946.
