AN Oakworth man who set up a lighting business in late 2014 is celebrating attracting the interest of a large distribution company which wants to buy his firm.
Paul Reynard is the founder and managing director of PAL Lighting Ltd, which specialises in LED lights.
He designs his own products and came up with the "All-In-One Downlight".
"The key selling point of this is that you can change the colour temperature of the light to suit the client," Mr Reynard added.
"I was invited to [electrical wholesaler] City Electrical Factors' dragons' den at their head office where I demonstrated the product.
"They instantly fell in love with the idea and offered me a national promotion, which meant that during January 2016 I could sell my stock in every single City Electrical Factors branch.
"Today more than 330,000 Downlights have been sold. It has been a massive success.
"This has now attracted a large distribution company in Leeds called Northgate Lighting, which is buying my company.
"Once that happens I will become the technical director."
