A NISSAN ambassador with Keighley motor dealership Colin Appleyard has returned with medals from the Paralympics.

David Stone picked-up bronze in the T1-2 men's cycling time trial and silver in the road race.

The triple gold medallist from previous Games said he was happy with his latest haul.

"Rio was a great experience and the GB team spirit was amazing," said Mr Stone.

"Whilst I didn't manage gold this time, I was happy with my performances as the overall standard of cycling at these Games was tremendously high."

He was appointed Appleyard's ambassador in 2014 and as part of the deal has enjoyed use of a brand new Nissan Qashqai.

"I'd like to thank Colin Appleyard for its support over the last couple of years," added Mr Stone.

"I am extremely proud to have had this partnership with it and Nissan.

"Getting sponsorship is not easy, so to secure the backing of a world-renowned car manufacturer is incredible."
