KEIGHLEY social housing group Incommunities has a new chairman.

Jan Ormondroyd, a former council chief executive, was appointed at the group's annual general meeting.

She retired from the top job at Bristol City Council in 2012 and recently served as interim chief executive at Rotherham Council.

"I am delighted to take-up the appointment at Incommunities," she said.

"These are demanding times for the housing sector but I am confident the strong foundations laid by our board, the executive management team and staff put us firmly in the driving seat to take the business forward and deliver even better customer services."

She succeeds Dave Procter, who with fellow long-serving board member Ian Greenwood has stood down.

Other new appointments to the board are Jo Boaden and Ian Cornelius.

Geraldine Howley, Incommunities group chief executive, said: "It's great to welcome Jan, Jo and Ian on board.

"Jan will head-up our group board at an exciting time as we launch our new strategic plan – The Pathway to 2025 – which focuses on growing the business and continuing our work to improve the lives of our customers."
