A KEIGHLEY lawyer has been accepted as a full member of a prestigious organisation.

Liam O’Neill has earned the accolade with the Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists (ACTAPS).

"I'm delighted to have been accepted," said Mr O'Neill, who is head of wills, trusts and probate at AWB Charlesworth.

"Will and estate disputes often involve complex issues and arguments between members of the same family, so they need to be managed carefully.

"This qualification is external recognition of the ability of my firm to provide advice and assistance to new and existing clients when these types of dispute arise."

Felicity Green, practice manager at AWB Charlesworth, said she was delighted at the membership award.

"We believe that having a specialist lawyer with ACTAPS membership is an important part of providing expert support to our clients when difficult, sensitive disputes arise within families," she added.

"The qualification recognises Liam's experience and training."

AWB Charlesworth has offices in Keighley, Skipton, Bradford and Bingley.
