HAWORTH-based bike trials champ Jack Carthy is motoring.

Keighley Peugeot garage Pentagon is sponsoring him by providing a car for the season.

Last year, Jack – at the age of just 20 – won the UCI World Championships and was crowned overall World Cup winner.

His manager and fitness coach, Nick Hindle, said he was delighted at the support from the business community.

"I've been working tirelessly to secure him sponsors and we've got some great companies onboard," said Mr Hindle, of NRGym in Keighley.

"Pentagon has been very supportive and we are looking forward to working closely with it throughout the 2017 season, which kicks off in Belgium in May with the first round of the UCI Trials World Cup.

"Jack trains at NRGym and is currently preparing for a warm-up tournament in Berlin.

"He has made history with what he has achieved in his first year as a senior and will be ready to defend his titles."
