KEIGHLEY Cougars have appointed a club welfare officer.
Judith Marples, head of JMH Aspirations, will provide support to players and staff.
Under a new Rugby Football League ruling, it is now mandatory for all professional rugby league clubs to employ a welfare officer.
Cougars chairman, Gary Fawcett, said: “Judith has more than enough experience and expertise to make a tremendous success of the role.
“She is a specialist who works with individuals and businesses in the development and delivery of bespoke solutions designed to manage change effectively, reduce stress and unlock creativity in all business environments.
“This appointment reinforces the club’s commitment to delivering quality on the field by ensuring quality support systems are there off the field for the players and other personnel.”
