THE Keighley shop which was worst hit by the town’s 2015 Boxing Day floods is still encountering people who think it had closed for good.
Bump and Babes in Bradford Road, which is owned by Francis Satish and was officially re-opened by Keighley town mayor Councillor Shabir Ahmed in August last year, is keen for people to know that it is business as usual at the Stockbridge premises.
Senior employee Adam Pearcey said that the business has just recently re-opened its coffee shop, which fronts onto Bradford Road.
“Sales have gone up, but our main issue is we still have people who are not aware we re-opened,” he added.
“We were flooded so badly that people thought we’d given up and shut for good, whereas we fought back and we’re trading as normal.”
Bump and Babes, which sells a variety of items for babies and toddlers, was shut for eight months following the late 2015 floods.
