KEIGHLEY Rotarians were given a behind-the-scenes look at a world-famous Worth Valley firm.

Club members toured the Bridgehouse Mills, Haworth, premises of Wyedean Weaving.

The company is well-known globally for its manufacture of uniform accessories for the military and police forces.

And its accoutrements have featured in many big-screen productions.

The Rotarians were shown around the factory by company managing director, Robin Wright.

The firm has been in the ownership of the Wright family for more than half a century.

Keighley Rotary Club president, Chris Pickles, said the visit was a huge success.

“It was brilliant – like stepping back in time,” he said.

“You got the smell of the wool and oil that I could remember from years ago as a child.

“We are extremely grateful to the MD, who gave us a very informative tour.”
