Debt advice firm's award

A debt advisory company based in Cross Hills has been recognised at an awards ceremony.

Debt Advisory Line, of Crossings Business Park, has been awarded the UK Debt Management Provider of the Year 2008 award at a ceremony held by Credit Today.

The company’s business development director, Mike Ransom, said that more people were turning to his company as economic times got harder.

The Debt Advisory Line launched in July 2006 with a team of six and the organisation has grown to more than 110 staff and unsurprisingly increased its market share by 400 per cent in the last year.

The company has now opened a second branch in Cheadle, Manchester, housing 40 trained staff.

Mr Ransom said: “Debt management is an emotive topic that requires sensitive handling. Many clients are reluctant to seek professional assistance and find their situation difficult to discuss.

“By acting ethically and providing a sympathetic, professional and constructive service to each of our clients, we have been able to help countless individuals get themselves out of debt and also provide a stable and challenging place of work for the local Keighley community and beyond.

“We’re delighted with this award — it reflects the quality and integrity of our growing workforce.”
