Karen is new finance chief

Karen Hutchinson is the new finance director of Keighley labels and branding specialist Nilorn UK.

She joins the company from IAC, one of Europe’s largest automotive companies, where she was controller at its Lincolnshire plant.

Prior to that Karen, pictured, 42, worked for a Danish furniture manufacturing and retailing company whose UK base was in Dewsbury.

She said: “The Danish company was very big on design and branding concepts, so there are many parallels with Nilorn.

“I have tended to join companies as they are starting a period of significant change and have helped to restructure systems in line with a new outlook. Steve Ablett has only recently been appointed as managing director and he is looking at moving the business forward and I am delighted to be a part of that.”

Mr Ablett said: “I am positive that she will be a huge benefit to our business.”

Karen, originally from Lincolnshire, now lives in West Yorkshire with her long-term partner and 12-year-old daughter. In her spare time she shows her Airedale terrier and she has just qualified for Crufts in March next year.
