New appointments have been made at Keighley doctors surgery, One Medicare@North Street.
Julie Atkinson – who has worked at the practice since 2008 – has been promoted to lead nurse, in addition to her existing role as advanced nurse practitioner (ANP). As lead nurse she will be responsible for managing the nursing staff and locum ANPs and will form part of the management team.
And a second ANP, Kevin Hubbard, has been appointed. Combining advanced nursing with clinical, diagnostic and treatment skills, he will see patients with a variety of conditions.
Rachael Pengelly, operations manager at the practice, said: “We are delighted to welcome Kevin to the surgery and Julie’s promotion to lead nurse recognises her integral role as a senior member of the team. Our patients will benefit from their years of experience, contributing to the service that we offer.
“It’s fantastic for us to have two ANPs as they offer an extended level of care through their training and can diagnose, treat and prescribe for patients.”
