GIRLS of Form 3B at Highfield Secondary Modern in 1964 with a tasty and fantastic display of Christmas cakes they had made in domestic science lessons.
While the boys were hammering away at stools, tables and lamps for Christmas gifts in the adjoining woodwork room, great smells emanated from the domestic science room where the girls were making lovely cakes.
The teacher is Miss Jackson and also named are Irene Holmes, Cynthia Bevan, Gaynor Lawson, Susan Addis, Janet Shackleton, Susan Riley, Laura Reynard, Maureen Lord, Anne Collette, Jacqueline Cook, Pamela Midford, Janet Richardson, Elizabeth Jenkins, Jennifer Kirby and Sandra Carr.
