THESE teams from Keighley Central Youth Club and Eldwick Juniors played in the Keighley and District FA Junior Cup Final at Easter in 1955.

Keighley Central Youth Club, on the back row from left, is Neil Creighton, Kevin Narey, Jim Narey, Joe Boland, Joe Lowe, Bob Heaton, Colin Reddiough, Jim Murray, Norman Barton, Ray Geldard and John Wood.

Eldwick Juniors in the middle row are Les Winterbottom, Hugh Ritchie, David Holmes, Jim Anderton, David Wildman and David Smith, and at the front, Geoff Wild, Ronnie Hodgson, Malcolm Ward and a Myers and Jackson with Christian names not known.

The game was played on Prince, Smith and Stell's pitch at Strong Close, with Keighley winning by two goals to one.

Keighley Central went on to become the first Keighley team to win the FA County Cup in 1968 with a 2-1 replay victory over Cleckheaton side Brook Sports.
