THIS coming Saturday, between about 10am and 5pm, the churches in Keighley and the surrounding district will be presenting Festival of Life on Church Green in Keighley.

This will be a demonstration of the vibrant life given by God to those who trust in his son Jesus. And it will be expressed in activities for all the family.

There will be craft activities and a bouncy castle for children; there will be a variety of music – that typical of worship within the church communities, Silsden Brass Band, a young people’s band called Difference; there will be a free barbecue; there will be street drama and puppet shows; there will be opportunities for all to understand more fully their spiritual nature.

We believe that God is the source of life, and that Jesus came to die on the cross for all that all might receive a ‘better life than they ever dreamed of’ (The Message by Eugene Peterson). None should be better equipped to express this life that Jesus gives than those who know him personally. And this is life for the whole of life! This is not religion. It is for the family, for the wider community, for the workplace, for school and college, for fun, for handling the multifaceted challenges of life.

We want Keighley and district to taste something of this life, and invite you to get down to Church Green sometime this Saturday.
