ALL we seem to hear from the Government is cut, cut, cut.
For years the church has cut, cut, cut.
What in general have we cut out of our church to run it our way? The Holy Spirit!
Three weeks ago there was some good news on the national news: “The decline in church attendance has stopped”.
Great news? Yes! Why? All through the Bible, whenever God’s chosen people left Him, because they had become prosperous, God left them, until there was just a remnant left, turning back to Him. Then they began to prosper again.
What has this to do with our Government cuts, especially in Keighley, where we may soon have no police station?
I have read many true stories of towns, one in particular the size of Keighley in Mexico. Crime was so bad the police couldn’t cope. The jails were full to bursting. People in the town began to turn to Christ. Every time one man or woman got saved they brought another to Christ. Result, in months, not years the prisons emptied and the police force was cut back because they were no longer needed. Fancy that for Keighley?
Turn to Jesus and refill God’s churches.
