What a fascinating prospect that a piece of Keighley’s history could soon be opened up to the public for the first time in more than a century. The once-bustling Victorian street beneath the Royal Arcade is a gem of a discovery. Let’s hope the plans to bring it back to life, by perhaps creating a visitor attraction or converting its old shop units for use by craftspeople, are realised.
