PLANS put forward for a major scheme to provide accommodation for the elderly seem to tick all the boxes.
The development, on the former Bronte School site, would provide desperately-needed housing for older people.
Some facilities would be opened-up to non-residents, offering a valuable community asset.
And the complex would bring back into use a derelict, long-vacant plot which has become an eyesore.
There is still some way to go – and no doubt hurdles to be overcome – before the project reaches fruition.
But oft-criticised Bradford Council should be congratulated on its vision.
