WEST Lane baptists in Haworth have voted overwhelmingly to allow their church to host same-sex marriages.
It is understood to be only the second baptist church in Yorkshire to agree the move.
Same-sex weddings are commonplace now at a variety of venues.
But there is still huge debate and division over whether they should be allowed in churches.
Society – and attitudes – are constantly evolving, as shown by the latest vote.
However, you cannot help but feel that complete consensus is a long way off, if achievable at all.
