Shocking circumstances of some at Food Bank It was good to see the KN featuring the plight of the increasing number of local families who are going short of food and the important work of the Salvation Army Food Bank – Shock figures show families struggle to pay food bills (Keighley News, June 6).

As a non-driving passenger, I would like to compliment the two or three householders at the bottom end of Lawkholme Lane who have very small, but very well kept and interesting gardens on the roadside.

I strongly concur with the concerns expressed by Andrew Spence and his family residing in Ashbourne Road – Tragedy fears of ‘rat-run’ (Keighley News, May 23). Thanks for your support in my search for Fluffy

1:50pm Friday 3rd May 2013

Through your letters page, can I express my thanks to the householders and dog wardens in the Occupation Lane area. Late afternoon on April 23, I was searching for my black and white cat, Fluffy, who had been missing for several hours. I was particularly concerned as she had a paper carrier bag in tow. I’m pleased to report she turned up safe and sound later, minus the paper bag! Thank you for your support.
