I DON'T live in Glusburn, Cross Hills or Kildwick, I live in Skipton.
I'm sure you have discussed this quite a lot but building the new bridge would be a great idea and be partially revolutionary – £7.5M rail bridge in 220-home plan (Keighley News, January 22).
The amount of traffic that goes through Cross Hills just to get to the opposite side of the crossing is forever increasing. You can't take the risk of waiting 10/15 minutes, causing great congestion in Cross Hills.
Having this bridge will benefit greatly. There would be less traffic in Cross Hills meaning less accident. It would give ambulances the ability to get to emergency patients. HGVs wouldn't attempt to go through Cross Hills. Buses could have a possible more straight-forward route through Cross Hills and Kildwick, again decreasing congestion.
This is a great idea and has my support.
