IN THESE times of health and safety and complaints issues, I should like to express my sincere thanks to the man who seems to be in charge of the Keighley Picture House.
I am severely handicapped and depend for mobility on my three-wheeler walker.
At the Picture House, I am made most welcome. I arrive by taxi, and a taxi is ordered for me – by the same man – when the film is over. Meantime,I am given a chair by a heater when I am waiting.
So far I have seen The Imitation Game, The Theory of Everything, The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel and, on Sunday, the documentary on David Hockney. All of these films were excellent.
We are so lucky in Keighley to have such a lovely Picture House. I only wish it were better patronised as all the films are here early – and the admission price is very much lower than the cinemas in Leeds or Bradford.
My sincere thanks to Keighley Cinema’s manager. As long as I am able, I am glad to sign myself a dedicated customer.
MARIE CALTIERI Keighley
